I am trying to import an excel file and got the following warning: During read data truncated  column table_name

That's hard to debug. 

Can you try a basic PROC IMPORT - replace the path below with yours and post the log. 

PROC IMPORT OUT= myData

   Datafile="c:\temp\myExcel file.xlsx"

   DBMS = XLSX replace; run;
