Hi all ,

I need to calculate lower and upper Confidence interval of the percentage for the variable count_1 and count_2 using survey freq.

dataset name : template

row    count_1    count_2     per12

 8     726749     260644    0.35864

Are you requesting some confidence interval around the value you labeled Per12?

The general approach is to add a CL option to a TABLES statement. But that is to calculate a confidence limit for the percentage of occurences of a value. For instance the requested CL would be for the interval around 47.37 and 52.63 in the table below. So incontext fo Surveyfreq the question is very problematic. You should provide more details about what your are actually attempting. Is the row you show the result of you doing a manual summary of existing data? Surveyfreq wants to use individual records and do it's own count and calculations to indicate the percentages for each level of a variable or combinations of variables. Also since you don't show any weighting varibles or sample design information I wonder why you are attempting to use Surveyfreq at all.

Sex Frequency Percent Cumulative

F 9 47.37 9 47.37
M 10 52.63 19 100.00
