PROC MIXED first introduced?

Hi, I have been trying to find out when PROC MIXED was first introduced to SAS but haven't been able to find anything. Just wondering if this information was avaliable. Thank you.

Googling for "PROC MIXED was introduced" I obtained this hit saying that in section 26.2.1 of this book the authors state that "SAS/PROC MIXED was introduced in 1992."

Yes, most sources say that MIXED was introduced in 1992.It was greatly changed, expanded, and improved over the following few years.
