In general METHOD=FEFI is extremely resource intensive because it imputes all possible values a missing observation can take. You should only use it when you have a few variables to be imputed and a relatively small data set. I suspect the issue is related to the large number of variables, although if the data set has a large number of clusters, then that might also be the problem.
