Hello,

I'm looking to get the SS between groups for each categorical variable of a model.

For instance, I have :

Data HAVE;
INPUT VAR $2. Y ;
DATALINES;
N 24,14
N 30,47
N 20,41
N 17,6
N 34,67
N 25,29
N 26,14
N 22,89
N 27,36
O 41,85
O 34,31
O 22,82
O 14,15
O 20,87
O 20,38
O 20,33
O 20,3
O 42,98
O 23,61
O 24,91
;
run;

The mean for group "N" is 25.44, for group O is 26.04. Now i'm looking to have the SS between these two means

and the global Y mean, but done automatically for all the specified variables of my model and all the groups.
I initially thought is was the "SS Anova" from the Proc Anova but it is not.

Thank you by advance for your help 🙂

What is ANOVA?

ANOVA, or Analysis Of Variance, is used to compare the averages or means of two or more populations to better understand how they differ. Watch this tutorial for more.
