Dear SAS experts,

I would like to know what is difference between estimation and calibration.

For example, for nonlinear regression model, we use data to estimate parameter values.

proc NLIN data=China_Q;

parms alpha=0.01 rho=0.01  beta1=0.01  beta2=0.01  beta3=0.01;

bounds alpha rho beta1 beta2 beta3 >= 0;

restrict beta1+beta2+beta3 = 0;

model Q = log (alpha) + rho*T + beta1*K + beta2*L + beta3*E;

run;

In this case, this code is for estimation of parameter values in the nonlinear regressions model.

If I want to calibrate parameter values for this model, then I would like to know how to calibrate parameter values.

If you have any references/examples to explain the difference between estimation and calibration, please share them with me.

Thank you very much in advance.

Sincerely yours,

J1

What is ANOVA?

ANOVA, or Analysis Of Variance, is used to compare the averages or means of two or more populations to better understand how they differ. Watch this tutorial for more.
