I have a data of cases for 150 subjects. Its an observational cohort on Sarcodosis patients. The cases were classified into three genotype groups.  We have a matched controls based on Age (+/- 5 years) for only 35 patients. Finally, we have 35 controls and 35 cases (with three gene groups). We have a set of demographics, and clinical variables. Intially I analyze the data with cases only using PROC FASTCLUS procudure to get the clusters. Now we wnat to use the controls too.

Is there any SAS procedure available to analyze the case/control cluster data?

Thanks

I probably don't understand what you want, but if you already have your observatiosn in clusters (genotype group, matched control, etc) isn't that the point you would move first to basic descriptive statistics of the groups and then perhaps to more involved statistical procedures depending on the measures you have?  Again, I probably don't fully understand, but I would think at some point you would just grind on basic T-tests or analysis of variance.

I only used the cases (150 subjects) and run the cluster analysis using FASTCLUS procedure and end up with three cluster solution. Then I plotted the cluster grouping using the canonical variables through canonical discriminant analysis. I didn't used the matched controls patients in the cluster analysis.

Now, I need to use the matched controls (which has only 35 pateints) along with 35 cases. The total subjects now reduced to 70 only. Can I use the same FASTCLUS procedure to identify the cluster? OR Is there any other sas procudure available to identify the cluster solution for the matched case control cohort?

Thanks

What is ANOVA?

ANOVA, or Analysis Of Variance, is used to compare the averages or means of two or more populations to better understand how they differ. Watch this tutorial for more.
