Free Viya Administration Workshops for 2025 Now Available!

Following on from the success of the free administration workshops last year, we are now starting to release the dates for 2025, with the first sessions listed below:

Americas: February 25th, 2025 (10am to 2pm EST)
EMEA: February 27th, 2025 (9am to 1pm GMT)
APAC: March 07th, 2025 (9am to 1pm IST, India)

We have also launched a new, dedicated Viya Administration page on Learn.SAS that you can visit and sign-up to these, as well as future events at any time. Please note, depending on you region you may see alternative dates and times to select from. These workshop are free to all customers, virtual and will be recorded. Please note these workshops will be delivered in English. If you are unable to attend but would still like access to the information, please register to get access to the recording and follow-up materials. It is simple to sign-up using your SAS profile. All registrants will be sent the meeting links within a few days after registering. Registration closes 3 business days before the event.

Overview

This workshop introduces administrators to SAS Viya platform administration. This workshop series is based on SAS Customer Success hints and tips, as well as our in-depth SAS Education courses. We’ll touch on reoccurring duties that an administrator needs to know, introduce the components that make up the platform, and how to support and maintain it.

Learn How To

• Compare the differences between SAS Viya and prior versions
• Identify the tasks that are expected as a SAS Viya platform administrator
• Identify the tasks that are performed by a Kubernetes administrator
• Explain the benefits of Kubernetes as the underlying SAS Viya architecture
• Learn some Kubernetes essentials
• Identify the components of the SAS Viya platform
• Describe security in the SAS Viya platform
• Understand various administrative tools and interfaces available to use as an administrator
• Identity options for monitoring the SAS platform

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for this workshop, but prior administration experience is helpful.
