Why choose just the first one? As a new SAS EG user I was failing to even realise there where additional process flows in a project because the view focus/pane was defaulting to Open Items rather than Project...... Even then, why not open all?

Sound hardly useful, because it seems impossible to show all process flows on the screen, at least i can't imagine how it could look like.

?Have the tab open/available in the work area? Otherwise, I fail to see why it opens just an ad hoc (the first) one. May as well open none automatically ( and I see there is an option for that) . But Im a simple noob.....

I think you might be wanting to see all of your Process flows at once? You can collapse/expand the view in the Project tree. See the animation here for a demo.

Thanks, but what I'm suggesting is that when I open a project, all process flows are available in the main "open items" work area:

I'm a complete novice, so maybe this a ridiculous request. It opens one (first one, often quite arbitrary in a project) automatically - why not all?

Okay, I get you. If you want the first one to be different, you can drag the flow "node" in the Project tree and reposition. But there isn't a way to open all at once.

I don't think your request is ridiculous... but I'll be honest -- it's unlikely this suggestion will be addressed. Most new development for this type of interface is focused on SAS Studio (and it's the same development team at SAS).

Ok, thanks Chris for confirming.

OK...so it only opens one process flow in project. How do you dictate which one? I thought it might be first one in the project tree? But I changed the order and it continues to open the second node (previously the first). See? tThis is my issue. The relative *uselessness* of opening only one (seemingly ad hoc) process flow. I may as well just turn it off in the settings.....

In my tests (using SAS Enterprise Guide 8.3) when I re-order the flows in the project tree, the top flow is the one that opens the next time I open that project file. I gather you're not seeing that?
