Line Chart labels do not avoid collision with lines or other labels causing the visualization to become unreadable and confusing to the user. Collision avoidance is needed. Thank you.
I don't believe I have ever seen an automated process that will avoid all "collisions", especially in terms of multiple series such as your second example. Especially when you have many series with pseudo-discrete axis values such as year and similar y axis values.
Sometimes you have to learn code to control such things for specific data sets or some other manual process to control appearance.
