There are many fiddle websites that promote exchange of ideas and demonstrate sample code in a working environment.

There's a fiddle for that - https://fiddles.io - lists 40 or so, make a site so SAS can be added to the list.

If free to use sounds unpalatable, gate the site to SAS community accounts.

Code the whole thing in SAS products because, well, ya got to "Eat your own dog food" (wiki)  Could be a wrapper app around a shackled but open SAS Studio login.

Hi @RichardDeVen,

Thanks for your input and request. We are currently working options for easy 'Try it' options, especially for open-source and API access. This functionality will be offered on developer.sas.com. I don't have an exact timetable for this, but once available, it will be widely communicated.

In the meantime, here are a couple of options you may explore:

SAS ONDEMAND FOR ACADEMICS - SAS software in the cloud – for free!

SAS Free Trials page - Modeling Environments and SAS Viya Trials
