It would be great to be able to copy an existing Ordered List in Enterprise Guide. From time to time I need to duplicate an existing Ordered List but with some small changes (adding or removing a couple of programs). Being able to a copy an existing Ordered List would save some time. Currently, if I need to create a similar Ordered List to one that already exists I need to create a new one from scratch.

This is one of the reasons I recommend not using ordered lists, but rather coding the list using %include statements. It doesn't take much code... just %include statements for each script you want, in the order you want them to run.

That way, you can copy the "master script" wherever you need it copied, or modify it for different purposes.

The other reason I advocate this is version control. EGP files are binary, so version control doesn't work so well with them.

I can do this in my version of EG.  I am running 7.13 HF3 (PC 32-bit).

That's awesome! My organization is currently using an older version (6.1). We're looking to upgrade to 7.1 either this year or next so once we upgrade I'll have this functionality.

Thanks!

For once, I find a user who is less up-to-date than my organization is, ussually.  Please, consider your self as a member in my club.

Hey, thanks for this idea. I guess in the newer version of EG this functionality exists but I'll definitely keep this suggestion in mind regardless. Much appreciated!

Yes, PhilC is correct. SAS Enterprise Guide developers added this functionality to our most recent release. Happy Upgrading!
