When trying to access SAS cube from the OLAP viewer the root folder (The default and the only folder) in the Available Items pane is reflecting a numeric extension to the cube name. For ex. I have created a cube named CUBE_Exposure, when the cube is accessed from the Web OLAP Viewer the name of the cube is appearing as CUBE_EXPOSURE_1285654880720. The same happens is with all the cubes though the numbers seem to be random.

Is there any way to remove/rename those numbers?

Raj

I think, but may be wrong, the numbers you see are not on the cube, they are in fact on the name of the automatically generated information map that is generated when you open the cube in OLAP viewer.

One way is to create your own Information Map (with any name numbers or not) on the cube and when opening with OLAP viewer is open the information map not the cube it's self.

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the reply.

The Information map created on the cube is reflecting the same name in the OLAP Viewer. This explains that even if we access the cube directly from the Web Olap viewer sas generates an automatic Information map.

Raj
