Hi,

We are currently using WRS 4.2. I have information map built on set of tables from database and are relational. I am in need of sub-total and total for particular report. I am not sure of how to achieve this.

Scenario:

Sales of product are grouped per month. Insetering Total display sales per month (sub-total). How can I get total sales (sum of all grouped values)?

You would need to have a report section with all values, or you could use this sample http://support.sas.com/kb/38/516.html Message was edited by: BIC_USER_3@SAS

Hi,

Thanks for the link.
I do not want to create table of contents for grouped values. I want to display in same page. When I user "Insert Totals" option, the values within groups are summarized(summed). I want to calculate total of all the grouped values (Total Sum) and display at bottem of page.

Don't know if this is an option for you, but you could append the 'total' to the raw data table being accessed - and include a term in your group variable for these records as 'Total'.

Hi,

No, the total can be dynamic (based on criterea) and hence the totals cannot be added to raw data/data source.

The Sub-Total and Total options are needed in most of our current reports (with another tool). Hope SAS comes up with this option in future releases.
