Hi,

I have a set of Libraries which were defined under the data library manager in management console. Now I need to move them to a different server, (same SAS version (9.2), just from development to production). How do I export theme and import them?

In olap cube, there is an export package and an import package functions. I don't seem to see one under management console.

Thanks,
Bill. Message was edited by: databobjr

In SMC, use the folder view rather than the plug-in view

To Export

Navigate to the metadata folder that the library(ies) are defined, select the libraries and RMB and select Export SAS Package.

To Import

Navigate to the metadata folder where you want to import,RMB and select Import SAS Package.

Hi-

You can export and import the metadata for the cubes using the same process mentioned in the response above. However, this does not recreate the physical cube files. You will need to use the proc olap to create the physical cube files while making any adjustments for your production environment (library paths, work paths, etc.).
