In Model Manager, you can set the Target variable, Target event value and Target values. All in what appears to be a free text field. Are there fields actually mapped to the back end of model manger? It seems so strange that the target variable should be entered as text, instead of selecting from a list of available variables, as a spelling error could mess things up.
And in the Target values, is is very unclear what to do. Should I write 0 1, or 0,1 (separated by comma)? I have seen both use in examples, but haven't found a description anywhere. And what about a 10-15 level nominal classifier? Is the user expected to manually write inn all those categories? What happens if one or more values is misspelled? What if this is a text column with spaces in the category names? Why is this even necessary? It would be much easier to select from variables, and the back end of things can easily identify what the values are, with no need for a manual user input in free text.
