SAS Viya REST API Step by Step

I have been programming for over 20 years but I am new to SAS Viya. I have to use SAS Viya REST APIs to access images in SAS Visual Analytics. The first step for me is to learn the syntax and the API calls step by step. Do you have recommendation on some tutorials that have what I am looking for? I haven't found a site for newbies with step by step. Thanks.
