Hello,

I want to restrict standard users from seeing certain metadata columns (such as Created By, in the SAS Content Browser.

Is there a way to: Globally hide or disable specific columns in the content UI?

Please advise on best practices or supported options.

Thank you.

In SAS Viya, I believe it’s not possible to restrict which columns (such as “Created by” or “Modified date”) are displayed in SAS Drive / SAS Content based on user groups.

Each user can configure which columns they want to see, but this is a personal setting and cannot be enforced or limited by administrators. The only way to restrict access is by applying permissions directly to the content, which I believe is not your case.
