Connecting chatbot to a web interface

Hi there,

i followed this chatbot sample connector as on https://github.com/sassoftware/conversation-designer-sample-connector

and i am still not able to make it work. I also followed this article https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/Building-a-simple-web-interface-for-your-chat... but keep getting an error on console log-

SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0

How should I proceed?
