Hello everyone,

I hope you are doing well.

We have deployed SAS Visual Analytics in a client production environment, and we created the Geographical Map Chart using the OpenStreetMap API. However, we encountered some issues with the map data, and the team has recommended using the Google Maps API as an alternative solution.

So, how can we switch from the OpenStreetMap API to the Google Maps API?

Thank you very much , and we look forward to your replies

Hi, unfortunately SAS Visual Analytics does not support Google Maps. At this stage you can either utilized the standard OpenStreetMaps or one of many Esri ArcGIS Online maps. There are also options to customize maps if required either by hosting your own OpenStreetMap tile server or by deploying custom map tile services to an Esri ArcGIS server.

I would also be interested in any issues your team encountered when using OSM. While SAS does not maintain the actual map data (it's an open platform after all) - there are some options to fix things like styling issues etc.

Thanks! Hope this helps! Falko
