Hi I have a simple 3 column data set. Latitude, longitude and label. Try to visualize as a map. When I select geography->custom it would let me set the longitude but the latitude column would not be available. Tried another data set, this time longitude would not be available but latitude would be fine. Checked that values are all numeric and that they are within their respective ranges. Ideas?

Oh. And i imported the data into EG, used the map chart from the drop-down and got a map. so the data itself doesn't seem to be the problem.

What data item are you selecting to convert to a geo data item? This can occur when you, for example, right-click Latitude and select to create Geo > Custom, and vice versa. The data item that you are basing the geo data item on cannot also be used in the Latitude or Longitude role.
