algorithm word sorts

Hii,

I was trying to link a word to a word sort

for example:

I am walking

I : pronoun

am: verb

walking: verb

does anyone which algorithm is behind it? is it with a desicion tree or something else? thankss

There is such an algorithm, it is partition and used by SAS Text Miner:

Basically, it you can open the Text Miner, it will let you see the code behind its nodes.
