Type of variable got converted after uploading on LASR

I have a varible which is numeric and format of  the varible is "SIZEKMG" And then after uploading on VA LASR the variable got converted in Category(Character). I want variable to be in numeric only after uploading on LASR.

Please run "proc contents" on the original dataset and LASR table and show me the outcome. Also, how exactly you loading the data? Have you specified "options fmtsearch" before calling "proc lasr" or "fmtlibxml" in "proc lasr"?
