Train Test Split in VA Models

Hello,

I am building models on VA interface. Is it possible to do a 80/20 train/test split in this interface? Or do I need to use SAS Studio or VDMML pipelines to do that split?

Hey @znhnm! You can do a train-validation-test split directly in VA:

1. In the Data Pane, click New Data Item
2. Select "Partition"
   
3. Choose your sampling method:
   
4. You now have a partition data item that you can use in models. Add this to the "Partition" role in the Roles panel for the model:
   
5. You'll see the model with train-validation split in the model:
   

The model will automatically be tuned based on the results of the split. Easy-peasy!
