Hello Community,

In case you missed it, you can now track the coronavirus outbreak in an interactive SAS Visual Analytics report. The data visualization shows you the status, location, spread and trends of the coronavirus. Updated daily, you can find the number of new cases and see infection, recovery and fatality rate trends regularly.

Read the blog post.

Can you change the mortality rate name to 'Naive Mortality Rate' unless you're doing an epidemiological calculation the rate is an overstatement and it helps to differentiate between the calculations. Naive mortality rate is deaths/resolved cases or known cases.

Hi @Reeza,

Thanks for this note - it's a great one. I've sent it along to the VA team and will respond as I hear from them.

Dear Reeza,

As Ana mentioned, you are absolutely correct and the current numbers are not standard epidemiological measures. We are continuously improving the dashboard and are looking to add indicators such as incidence and prevalence.

Thank you for your input and please keep the good input coming.

Best regards,

Mark Lambrecht, Global Health and Life Sciences Practice at SAS
