Hi,

 

Is it possible to create static values in the controls eg. in the drop down list defining 3 static values like ASIA, AMERICA, EUROPE?

Rather than creating a separate table to hold these value and assign the category to the control.

You might be able to create a custom category and then filter to hide Other values to achieve your goal. See the section "Create a custom category to drive the button bar" in

But it depends on how  you are going to use the values in the list
