When creating an aggregated measure or calculated item I am able to see Visual or Text code. Where can I find more details on creating customized formulae.

It will give you a list with the operators (like functions) available for building expressions

Working with Data in SAS Visual Analytics Designer is also documented in the book mentioned above.
