Report Distribution- Getting email with Excel as Attachment

In my requiremnt, there is a list report in which data is keep on updating day by day. User wants this list report as an Excel attachment to his email by every EOD. Is there anyway to automate this process, which keep on sending list report as Excel Attachment every EOD?

By using the option "Distribute Reports" we can schedule report and get report as PDF attachment. Is there anyway to change this PDF setting to Excel?
