Hello!

I have a little problem with the connection between the variable displayed as a list Month (‘Mese Erog.’)  and the variable set as a page filter Year (‘Anno Erog.’).

When I open it, it looks correct like this:

If I select the Month (7, July) is ok:

but when I deselect the Year '2025', the Month is still selected: why?

Problem_Viya_3.jpg

In this case, I don't have the July total for the two years (2024, 2025), but the overall total for the two years appears, which, given the selection show (of July) is incorrect.

It seems that the Year page filter isn't connected to the Month list filter: how should I connect them? Is this possible?

The correct report (and total of July 2024+2025) should be this one:

Thank you so…

Teo

Hi Bruce!

In the end, I solved the problem by removing the Actions, as you mentioned, and adding only those related to the two reference tables.

Thank you very much!

Hi Teo-

It may be helpful to get your report to see how you have things defined.  Would you be able to do the following:

1. Open the report in the editor
2. Click on any report object so it is selected
3. Press Ctrl+Alt+B on your keyboard. This will open a new window that has XML text in it.
4. Click the SAVE button here to save this text to a text file.
5. Send the file to this post.

OK, thanks!
But where do I attach the TXT file?

There should be a drop zone under the Body section of the post where you can attach files.

OK, I tried that place...
but it gives me an error about the extension

I am having issues with the XML provided.  Would you be able to export the report using Environment Manager and send the resulting json?

Sorry, here's the only one with the page that has the Year/Month filter problem...

thx!

You may try disabling the Automatic actions on all objects option to see if that changes behavior.  You can define action to the objects you want the filter to affect.

Also, I have tested this in VA8.5 and do not see the same behavior.  Given that your environment (VA8.4 on Viya3.4) is currently at Limited Support per https://support.sas.com/en/technical-support/services-policies/sas-viya-3x.html , you may consider updating so you are using an environment that is at Standard Support.
