Hi Chaps,

We have two users who would like to have some of the reports on our current VA environment exported to another  VA environment, I am planning to use export metadata reports as a  *.spk and import to new VA server. But is there any modification and steps need to perform once imported? Here, the two environments having different Metadata hostnames. Is this possible to do in VA or any other alternative method?  We are doing directly in PROD so just to make sure everything should be accurate. Appreciate your thoughts on this..

Thanks

Creating a package (SPK) file is the correct way to move the Visual Analytics reports. When you use the Import wizard in the target environment, the wizard will prompt you to map content in the package with existing content on the target environment. To make this process go smoothly, make sure to define all of your libraries and register all of your tables before you attempt to import the reports. In this way, these items are available for  mapping when you are ready to move the reports.
