How Can merge cell in List report for selected column

How Can merge cell  in List report for selected column so distinct value only show for group based on Column value.

I want list repot on below format . Note I can’t use Cross tabulate because I have to use sparkline for this list report.

 Metric Name Type Actual Target

 Metric AAA     X       11       12

                        Y       23       13

 Metric BBB      M      11       5  

 Metric CCC     X        24      36

                        Y        12       334

                         Z        12      11

Could you suggest me any workaround.
