Hi Community,

This is a simple one but please help anyway

- I have imported FB data into SAS Visual Analytics - and now the publisheddatetimestr variable in the imported datatable is an CATEGORY variable of the text form:

"March 7, 2016 9:32:53 PM GMT"

I expect that by creating the right formula in "New Calculated Item" builder in VA I can convert this textstring into a date (or datetime) variable that I can do date hierarchies on - but I have not managed yet to do the needed PARSING.

Can anyone help me on this simple one, please?

Sorry for bothering again - I came up with an workable solution in 2 steps - but any better one step solution is most welcome.

Well done in working out the solution and thanks for sharing it too! (I was in the process of posting a similar approach.) Smiley Happy

Kind Regards,
