How to Add Header and Footer to the report in SAS VA.

Hi Mustak,

There isn't a concept in SAS Visual Analytics as a Header and Footer. You can have text objects in the report at the top and bottom of the report to simulate a Header and Footer. SAS(R) Visual Analytics 7.1: User's Guide - Using Other Object Types

If you click on the report links on the page, Indigenous health check (MBS 715) data tool (AIHW) These open up Visual Analytics reports where you can see examples of using text objects at the top and bottom of the report within the Tabs (sections).

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for that reference; quick questions - looking at the reference intro text page - can we have in 7.1 an intro page to each of the tabs like:

Hello:

Click here for Tab 1

Click here for Tab 2

Click here for ,,,,,,

......

..

etc.

And when you click on each of the descriptive link texts above; it would take you to each tab on a separate report such that you don't see the tabs in the intro. Meaning that each of the tabs is in a different report; thereby having 2 reports - one with the tabs and another one  just with the intro page. Can we have icons that link to tabs in the latter example instead of text?

Finally, when a user navigates to the tab in that separate report, can there be a back button icon/link to take back to intro page?

Hi,

From your description, it seems that you are after report linking from a main page with links. Yes this is possible. You could have 1 text object and within it have the text and links to each of the reports as special report hyperlinks. Have a look in the SAS Visual Analytics User Guide for text objects and report linking

A good example of this is with the Australian Institute Health and Welfare reporting using SAS Visual Analytics. Here is an example report.
