External link functionality lost when 'show detail data' option in a list table selected

Hi,

 

SAS VA 7.1

When I select the 'show detail data' option in the data options for a list table, I am no longer able to use the external link functionality (this works when 'show detail data' is not selected).  The 'Add link' is greyed out.  Why is this?
