Is it possible to display aggregated date values in tables?

I have a dateset that contains data about users acces to VA. "Who do what when?"

[user, transaction date, event]

I would like to display information like

user, max_date, min_date

and give the user ability to filter data.

I can't calculate the max and min variables before I load data til LASR server.

That always semes to be the solution with SAS VA.

Hi Allan,

I don't think there is an easy way to do this, although someone might know of a workaround.

It is frustrating that the First and Last operators only accept a measure as input, otherwise I think you could do something like,

First [_ByGroup_] ('Date'n, 'Date'n, _IncludeMissing_)

to get the earliest aggregated date value.

Hope someone else can help you further,

Sam

I wonder if you use the TreatAsNumber function on the date whether the First and Last functions would work... something to try...

Cheers,

Michelle
