Convert a DATES double Slider into 2 drop down lists

Hello,

THIS IS ON SAS VIYA 3.4


This is my date slider right now.

This is a GLOBAL FILTER on my report!

I want to "convert" it into two drop down lists.
One for the start of the period I want to examine and one for the end.
Important here is to maintain the functionality of my report which has to be untouched.
