Hi,

How will I know the equivalent IP Address of the hostname in the URL of SAS Visual Analytics?

Hi,

if you have access to the DOS Command Line, you can do a ping to the VA hostname.

The command will look as:

ping myvahostname.mynetwork.com

Beware of the fact that the IP can be different if you doo it form your internal network than if you do it form internet (in case you have access from internet to the VA server).

I hope this helps!

Best regards,

Juan

Hi @JuanS_OCS,

I ping the domain and what I get is

ping Solaire.JPG

May I ask where is the ip address there?

Hi @jei,

of course. The Ip address is the one you find there: fe80:519c: etcetera.

The reason because it does not look as XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX as a " normal IP address" is because your network is using IPv6 instead of IPv4 (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX).
