Hi,

i have followed this blog post, URL and parameters, to access and control some of the visualizations using an URL. However, while I can access my dashboard fine, it is not recognizing the value of the parameter.

reportName:CSD%20Trial

reportPath: %2FEIM%20Report%20Dev%2F

Region_Parameter: Auckland

Here is the URL that I'm using:

http://nameofserver/SASVisualAnalyticsViewer/VisualAnalyticsViewer.jsp?reportName=CSD%20Trial&report...

Does anyone have an idea why this is not working?

I don't see anything obviously wrong with the URL. Are you sure that the parameter in the report is named:

Region_Parameter

I would definitely match the casing of the name as well.

Hi,
I have found why the URL was not working.
I was using only the parameter to control the buttom bar and then I was using button bar to filter to the graph. however, this was not working.

I worked around by coding the measure that goes into the graph to be dependent on the value of the parameter. You can also use the parameter to code your filter. With these two alternatives, the button is not really adding value.
