Coding and Decoding in SAS VA

Hi,

 

I working on SAS VA, do we code and decode in sas analytics ? I never came across with this before. To pull an attributr from another sas tool which is coded, can this be coded and decoded ?

Can you explain your question in more detail by giving an example? Coding and decoding could mean many different things.
