I am using SAS Viya Visual Analytics.  I am creating a line chart that has yearly quarters on the x axis (2017Q1, 2017Q2, etc.).  On some of these charts the order gets completely scrambled.  The data is sorted correctly in the data set, and I even attempted to apply a custom sort in VA.

Have you tried a time-series plot rather than a line chart? You need your x-axis variable to be a proper SAS date for this - is it? You will see a clock icon tagging the column if it is.

Have you done the sorting on the object and is it still there?

I have noticed that the sorting some times is lost when working with other ocjects or data items.

I often need to do the sorting again, before the report is done :0
