In SAS Visual Analytics is there a way to create an all category for a drop down.  If there is is there a way to make a sub category all.

E.g.

College

Campus1

Business

Engineering

Campus2

Arts

Medicine

The drop down would look like

University

Campus1

Campus2

Business

Engineering

Arts

Medicine

Tableau has the all feature.  I’m hoping there is a simple way to do this without making redundant rows in the dataset.

Maybe this could be done with a parameter.

I think you need separate drop downs.

You can create category/dimensions directly in VA, no need to add it in the data.

Then link the boxes and make them non mandatory, in that way you can select hierachally, but don't need to do it 🙂
