Hi,

Question:  may I  insert an Oracle table in the list of autoload process of a SAS Visual Analytics 7.1?

I've read that you can schedule the autoload of xlsx or sas tables.but oracle or other  engine tables?

Thanks in advance!

Silvia

SilinBorro:

Even in the latest production release (v7.3), VA Autoload is limited to SAS data set, Excel, or flat file (e.g. CSV or TXT).

The workaround is to have some process (e.g. SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS DI Studio, BASE SAS program, etc.) to process the Oracle data first and place a SAS data set representation of it into VA's Autoload location.

Another option is to use SAS Visual Data Builder (built into and comes with SAS Visual Analytics) to access Oracle data and set-up a scheduled job for automation purposes.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

one  more question:

A HADDOOP table may be included in the list of  VA Autoload?

Thanks in advance.

No because you can not use VA Autoload to load data from HDFS.
