Has anybody built a AMI image for SAS VA on Amazon AWS?

Yes, that has been done a various times. You may contact the folks in SAS Australia who used such an environment for trial and demo environments. There is no pre-build image as far as I know but deployment should be relatively straight forward. Hosting VA in a Amazon EC2 cloud is supported so you should get help from SAS if something doesn't work as expected.

I think SAS Aussie are actually using our AWS hosted VA environments for demos 😉

We have created these manually, so definitely works.  Next step is to create AMI's to automate the provisioning, so I was just putting out feelers to see if somebody had already created one.
