Proxy Error.PNG

Receiving the attached error when attempting to login to SAS VA web portal. Any ideas on where to start to address this error?

Such proxy errors are typically caused by one or more server modules not responding. The actual error message is produced by the Apache web server which tries to act as a gateway but received an unavailable status message from the up stream server. In your case the VA application server. Are there any known issues with the environment you are aware of? Are all services deployed and running? If a server or services restart doesn't help - you may have to get in touch with SAS Technical Support who are very experienced solving these issues. It will also help to keep any log files on the server so any error messages can be reviewed.

Falko,

Thank you for your response to my posting. When working with SAS Tech Support it was discovered that there were root process, from a previous reboot, that were taking up the needed ports for when the 'sas' user was attempting to reboot. Troubleshooting steps lead us to delete those processes and re-attempt. Once the processes were killed, the 'sas' user was able to reboot successfully and the Web Portal was accessible.
