This report uses open data from the City of New York and visualizes 8 years worth of rodent sightings and inspections. It highlights months of high activity and related geo locations of sightings.

Are you sharing anywhere steps to create custom objects like the calender that you have created above for the calender? It would be good to also know and learn from you how to create objects like that. In VA 7.4 we had the Custom Graph option, but is that feature similar to that for customizing SAS Visual Analytics 8.2 objects also?
Good idea. I will share a few more details here when I publish the one or other infographic in future.
To answer your question. The 'calendar' is not really a custom object as such but rather a combination of two bar charts and a heat-map (all about creativity :-)). So I used a precision container and placed a bar chart showing the total sightings per month on top. Then a heat map below for month vs year and finally a second vertical bar chart to the right with numbers on year level. After removing a few unnecessary axis labels - all I had to do was adjusting the size of all object to match each other.
