I was doing a simple linear regression but I cannot run the task because of this message.
"Add one or more effects to the candidate model on the Model tab"...
i tried to put effect but I get a different regression result. why? what should be the set up? I was using Gretl before.

I need your advice. thank you

Your outcome variable should be the DEPENDENT variable. In the screenshot there's no selection made.

Thnaks for the reply. I uploaded a wrong screenshot. anyways, I also put a dependent variable but I'm not sure where to put the independent variables.  Classification variables or Continuous variables? And I also don't know what effect should I use in running a simple OLS. thank in advance! Man WinkMan Wink

Uh...if you don't know what continuous or categorical variables are or which ones you have, you should be doing some serious research before you try and do any analysis.
