executing external program from university edition

Hi SASers:

I tried using the x command from university edition but that was a no go. I'm really not to surprised since SAS runs in a virtual machine

on top of windows, but I'd like to confirm that this is really the case rather than me screwing something up.

You’re correct, SAS UE operates in a locked down environment so you can’t use x commands or secure FTP, thought that last one may have changed in the last release.
