I have SQL server as the data source and when I register a table in SAS DI, in some of the text fields a black diamond with question mark appears in it. Is there a way to handle this.

If you can, please provide your code, the associated log and output (if none is information sensitive in nature)

Are you using the same encoding for your SAS/Session and the data in the database?

the encoding for sas is UTF-8 and for DATASET it is ASCII(ANSI)
