What is the code to search key values in files that is not a table from a directory/drive using SAS?

I am looking for a specific value from a file located from a specific file path from a drive (e.g., designated C, A, B drive or etc.,), but the file is not a table. The file example could be .TXT or .HL7 or etc., What would be the SAS code for this scenario?
