Hi all,

Just want to know if anyone has experience using SAS Studio to create a master flow and then run multiple sub-flows to make the master flow as the Job scheduler to run its sub-flows.

My question is how to set the job dependency of these sub-flows (seems that swimlanes is a good starting point) but want to know how to execute two sub-flows in parallel if the up-stream flow is completed.

Viya Job and Execute is not suitable for this implementation, and we do not have a plan to install a third-party scheduler like Airflow in our environment.

Regards,

Eddie

I don't have SAS Studio (Viya 4) at my fingertips, but I found a post that shows that in Viya 3.3 it was possible to set the execution mode to Parallel for a flow. I hope they didn't take that option away....?

Otherwise your next best option is to not use the sub flow feature, but rather define your flows dependencies in SAS Job Flow Scheduler:
